Time Management.
For the time management, even though people came in out class room to give the class advice on how to manage your time to make the most of the time that you do have, I still did not use any calendars to stay organized. Although this got me through this semester, I do not count on just winging my schedule like usual. I feel like I do stay in my comfort zone, but once I feel like too much is on my plate, I will start to write a schedule for me to follow. This semester, I was not too overloaded with school work, and work outside of school. I was still able to find time for my homework and also time to relax when needed.
I tried to use my little calendar that was given to us at orientation, but I just did not keep up on it. I know that it works for many and I am sure that it would have worked for me, but I just did not feel the need to carry that around with me. Luckily I have cougar courses where my teachers would post assignments so I could just rely on that opposed to having to write them down in class. In highschool, I did not have a website that I could contact my teachers, and find what assignments have been assigned. I guess I could find their emails, but never once did I ever email them, so that is why it was more important for me to write things down in class.
The activity we did in class for time management, where we figured out on the chart what we needed to cut out in our schedules, really taught me a lot. I learned how much extra time I had left over at the end of the week. I had well over 20 hours according to the sheet. I really ask myself where those hours are, because I can’t find them. I know I have quite a lot of free time, but I never recognized that much. Well I guess it is a good thing that I have those extra hours. Even if I was over the amount, I could always take time out of my sleep.
The time management activities that we did in class did help me understand how to manage time. Although I did not incorporate into my schedule, I will still always have that information for when I am in need of it.
